The Institute for Sustainable Urban Societies, founded in 2004, is an international group of landscape architects, architects, urban planners, scientists, and engineers whose goal is to develop innovative and implementable solutions to the complex environmental and social issues facing cities today in both developing and post-industrial societies. Focusing primarily in deltaic regions of the world ISUS has been helping communities better understand how to promote and be beneficiaries of the natural systems surrounding them without compromising the fine balance of these systems.
